How to cope with Trump? And Boris.

notch it seems is unwilling/unable to condemn massive defence spending cost overruns/incompetence/corruption...

Which makes him far more 'anti-UK' than me!

Imagine a country so stupid that it buys two aircraft carriers with no aircraft (having disposed of it's previous still usable assets for peanuts), and having no support ships to provide operational cover...

Notch considers that the UK fits this description.

notch claims, and I quote - "Any intelligent person would realise it is percentage of GDP that counts"

US percentage of GDP spent on healthcare: 16%+
UK percentage of GDP spent on healthcare: <10%

Now maybe notch can tell us which health system is better value for money?
And which health system covers all of it's citizens as opposed to just a percentage?

Just to repeat: "Any intelligent person would realise it is percentage of GDP that counts"

Thank you so much for correcting me, your post really is most insightful.

Sadly you have taken what I said out of context, in order to write your most clever post.

Let me help you with that:
So, you are countering my claim 'percentage of gdp' is the intelligent comparison

I can only assume you therefore agree with Nosealls argument that total NATO contribution is the way to compare.

Mmmmm....on that basis, you must think each NATO country should contribute the same each.

So using your logic Luxembourg must contribute the same as Germany............great thinking from Ellal :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Not mine. I merely pointed out that Germany is the second largest NATO contributor.

Your vague post was straight from the DM textbook. You omitted snippets to make Germany seem like a poor contributor.

Also in the thread I agreed with both you and Trump regards the likes of Germany upping their contributions in line with the 2% proposals.

It's all there in the thread. Notch won't see it though. No, all Notch will see is anti-UK posts and unicorns.

Poor old Noseall....clutching at straws........

The irony, you say my post was vague yet you go on to say 'I merely........'

I see Trump is having dinner with Theresa May at Bleinham palace this evening.

I wonder what they will be doing, watching love island and munching on Doritos...

Taken out of context?

I've simply pointed out your b ullshit for what it is - yet again!

Squirm all you want, notchy...

Your ignorance is out there for all to see...

Maybe this could be your fitting epitaph: "Any intelligent person would realise it is percentage of GDP* that counts"

*Ground Depth Penetration :ROFLMAO:

Ha ha ha

So are you actually saying that NATO contribution should be compared by gdp not % of gdp.

So you think Luxembourg should contribute the same as Germany.

I hope that works out well for ya.:ROFLMAO:

While you are thinking about your brain fog, how does this grab ya: NATO itself sets a funding rate, wait for it, as a percentage of GDP.

Do you want me to call NATO and tell them they are doing it all wrong, they should contact Ellal to show them what to do :D

Are you sure you agree with UK being in NATO?

After all, it's an undemocratic multi-national organisation. The citizens of the UK don't get to vote on what it does or what the rules are, but we have to follow them. We don't even get to elect the UK people who go there. Our voice is overwhelmed by that of a powerful foreign country. It has expensive headquarters outside the UK.
