General Election or another Referendum?

There are rumblings from both the tories and Labour about another general election, and possible backing from Labour for the people to have another say on the deal via a referendum.

One or the other now seems to be on the cards, but what would it solve?

If Labour back a referendum 'if their members want it', then surely that would have to be in their manifesto should an election be called...

The tories want to hold on to power at all costs (that's how we got into this mess in the first place), and are maybe willing to throw their hat in the ring to save a deal that can't be done, or to go 'no-deal'...

So which would you prefer to happen and why?

And if there is an election, what use is a law that says an election will only happen every 5 years (so that politicians can't take advantage), when politicians take advantage anyway and ignore the law by ganging together to get the required 'override'!

Some one needs to pull there finger out as legislation needs to be passed in order to hold one

It may help the cause if people over say 60 are not allowed to vote in it ?

16 year olds get to vote in it ?

May be any one who is not employed or is retired should not be allowed to vote ?

It needs to be unanimous. I wouldn't count on it. EU27 patience with a country that can't make up its mind, and can't agree with itself (never mind with anyone else) has worn very thin. The Conservative Party can't agree with the Conservative Party. Parliament can't agree with Parliament. The Cabinet can't agree with the Cabinet.

Why not, exactly the range of people as before? If the result is brexit still, then whichever government knows for definite what the country wants.
