No confidence vote against TM as party leader

The EUs attempt at democracy meant they ended up with a president they didnt want (Juncker).
If notch thinks that a consensus is needed to determine a result that "they" did want, I think he should reappraise his idea of democracy.

"For the first time the nomination was not by consensus, but the European Council voted 26-2 to propose Juncker for the position. Voting against were British PM David Cameron and Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán, both of whom had frequently opposed Juncker during the election process" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Claude_Juncker

Obviously there is a vast difference in the campaign process and the voting process.

Consider the possibility that Bodd is just trolling by throwing in a false smear, and that notch is aiding him.

You will not change them by logic or facts.

True, but logic or facts exposes their motivation for their comments. That adds dubiety and suspicion to their comments.

Neither of us pretends to be that.

But one of us decides that he nevertheless knows more than people who are experts and advocates a course of action which would bring ruin on the country. And all to satisfy his ignorant and deluded wants.
"Experts" on both sides!!.That's your opinion, and thankfully we live in a country where we are free to disagree.

especially if you are vinty and like to throw around made-up assertions with nothing to support them.

Have you ever heard the phrase 'Tyranny of the majority' this sums up the EU.

The EUs attempt at democracy meant they ended up with a president they didnt want (Juncker).

The UK's attempt at democracy meant they ended up with a Prime Minister they didn't want (May)

If one accepts that one must also accept that the UK is "tyranny of the majority".
A BAS has repeatedly asked Bodd for explanation, perhaps we can also ask you how you think the "tyranny of the majority" as applied to the EU differs from the "tyranny of the majority" as applied to UK?

thought it was obvious, and your question is in danger of becoming cyclical. Bodd's argument that the EU is undemocratic is made simply as a criticism of the EU in the supporting argument for Brexit, and the subsequent return of sovereignty to UK parliament, which is evidently also undemocratic. Therefore, the underlying reason for the allegation that EU is undemocratic is demolished

If it was obvious you have provided an explanation.

Two things:
Why would a sensible person think the EU is democratic? The media, has for many years stated the EU is undemodratic.

Secondly, nobody in this thread has provided any kind of explanation of how or the workings of the EU make it demodratic or otherwise.

That is not true, when Juncker was elected he received the vast majority of the votes.
