Border on the Island of Ireland

Have you considered the possibility that when the Irish see the benefits of leaving they will resolve the border problem by also leaving the EU ?

Remainers will of course consider this as impossible.

Is your point misframed?

It would appear you have assumed that there will be tangible benefits of leaving -there is almost no research that shows benefits of leaving.

The more likely scenario is that the Irish economy will suffer as a result of Brexit, in which case maybe Northern Ireland might join the EU

Can you honestly say no one has lost their job to cheap foreign labour?

I think you are rsther stuck on the 'cheap foreign labour' argument.......but it isnt really true.

If they did, it was probably preventable if the UK government introduced controls.

A bloke I know did. He was a painter and he just couldn’t compete on building jobs against foreign labour that were willing to work from 8.00-6.00 for £80 a day.

An idiot who voted leave and doesn't care about his own job who you think would care about the Irish.

It's not down to us to think of the Irish. It is down to the Irish government however to think of the harm a no deal will affect the working man.

That's good enough for me. Your stuck on thinking I'm blaming those who come for a better life.
I've been an immigrant I know about cheap labour. My guess is you haven't.

And you believe no one has lost their job due to somone prepared to work cheaper

You brought it up.

What do you think the Irish can do to alter British idiots?
Nothing. They need to think about their own poor Sod's who'll be hit by it all. As those in power will still live their comfortable lives.

Notch I would imagine employs someone on his ability, skill and personality, rather than his nationality.
And pays them accordingly
So he thinks everyone works like that but in the building industry its not a about quality of even if their skilled or not.
Its about how cheap they will do that job. They don't care as long as the job gets over the line...

Not at all, I just notice you have used the phrase 'cheap foreign labour' a few times.

I worked in Toronto, I quite enjoyed it -one job I had was in their foreign office. I only worked a day there as they needed a typist. I earnt a lot that day as I won the office sweepstake :ROFLMAO:

I do know that. And I know its an issue in construction, esp new build.

However Brexit is not the solution to that

No, he is a remainer
Then sadly he will soon be joined by many others who bear no blame for this debacle!

Ironically many of those who voted leave will have been of the 'Auf Wiedersehen Pet' generation...

And yet they still voted to commit political/economic/social suicide...

No wonder they are known as dumb quitters!
