I have some floor trim/beading to go around my new laminate floor, but I'm struggling to get a nice 45° degree angle.

I have a mitre saw which has 45° setting but the trim is not flat so I can't get the angle to be flush.

If I lay the trim flat then it creates a nice right angle just fine.

But the problem is this trim isn't supposed to be flat, it goes against the wall at an angle so it doesn't fit together flush. I've tried cutting it at the same angle that it lies against wall and it's a better cut but it's still wonky.

any ideas for this awkward trim?

It's a proper electric sliding saw too.
I've tried turning the beading around for the other side and also switching the saw blade to -45 too but I can't get it right.
I guess its trial n error

You are cutting the trim with it sat on its wide flat.

Set saw to 45deg
Push the trim up to the fence, with one small flat against the fence and the other small flat against the bed.

Scotia sucks. Also check your corners with a good square- they may not be 90 degrees. And get a new blade for your mitre saw, one with finer teeth- the one you are using at the mo is rippping the veneer or whatever to pieces. Do some experiments with offcuts to see which side of the cut is cleanest (on mine its the left hand side).
