So should we never 'go after' those who inflict domestic violence just because they may top themselves? Blimey. It's like a green light for all to go ahead and beat their loved ones.

Instead, can people just look at this with common sense please? A woman did wrong, and not for the first time. She happens to be unstable (I could argue that anyway by the fact she likes to beat up her fellas) and she, rather than cope with what is now happening to her, decides to top herself.

Nobody's elses fault. These are her actions, her choices. She wasn't hounded- it was reported in the press as it would anyone who was a part of the celeb circus. She wasn't hounded by the CPS either. If they thought there was a case to answer to then they're doing their job. It IS sad that any 40 year old tops themselves, but really, her choice.

Bleeding hell!
A bit lacking in the compassion front my friend.

I gather you were either a close friend of hers or have good knowledge as such that she was a special case here? Wasn't hounded? She was click bait due to her own wrong doings i agree, an expert on suicides etc commented today many people need to take a step back here.
Say you're feeling down really down and one of your colleagues makes a public dig at your personal issues in front of ALL your competitors, kick a man when they're down? Aka Walliams at the National Television Awards. Not nice.

I hadn't heard about that before but having checked it out I believe he was booed by the audience for that quip. Having since taken her own life, I expect the backlash against Walliams to grow and grow, and quite deservedly so.
I think his career may be heading for a downturn. How tragic.

She'd abused (so he says) another boyfriend, it's not a one-off.
I think a lot of women would be irked that you still think a, they're a more delicate creature and b, are blaming her abuse on hormones. I know you're being kind, but you're also being outdated and patronising.
Women are different from men biological and Psychological fact.
Facts don't become outdated.

Absolute codswallop. Women are just as strong psychologically and just because they have periods doesn't mean they are weaker. Her hormones indeed. Age also has nothing to do with it. You belong on the arc! :)

I don't like bullies, no. However it WAS her choice. She was obviously too unstable to be in the line of work she was in - there are a ton of people who are hounded just the same and are still alive.

I dislike suicide immensely because of the terrible mess it leaves behind for loved ones, it doesn't just affect the person who died. That I understand totally.

Seems sensible to me....Why waste money on cases with little or no chance....costing a bloody fortune
Quite. But it also means that some people don't get justice, just because of funding/difficult to prove.

That will always be the case...Cannot trundle every single law breaker into court...Even then..people lie..lack of evidence...Thick jurors....list is endless..Coppers used to decide cases before CPS....even worse

I agree, time this sh1te should be accountable. Take an easy win rather than spend money convicting a kiddy fiddler...

When your budgets are cut and you need to meet targets.....oh wait this is what happens.

Look how innocent people are bankrupt defending themselves because they do not have recourse to legal aid.

Don't forget people discriminated against  (hmm who could that be) and criminals still get legal aid

Domestic violence is on the increase so the CPS is obliged to consider prosecution even if the victim withdraws their complaint. If the police put to the CPS sufficient evidence such that a conviction is 'probable', the attacker will be charged and prosecuted. The mental state of the attacker is taken into consideration, however anyone can use it as an excuse to try and avoid prosecution.
