leak between neighbours and my roof

My neighbours roof was renewed some years ago and were it joins mine it hasnt got a roof drainage channel in between just cemented at the joining tiles He had leaks there this week and a roofer told him what was wrong and told me the water has made some of my wooden lats go rotten My roof is original so didnt need the channel .Who is responsible for the damage

I was also made aware that the dividing boundry line is over my side with there tiles I have never noticed with " senior" eyesight How do you resolve that What a mess .I am bl00dy mad about it
 
it should have had a bonding gutter

to remove your rotten tile battens and correctly fit a bonding gutter is what is needed -its not a 5 minute job though and I guess needs a scaffold.

Dont be surprised if your neighbour doesnt want to pay for a proper job, you may need to balance up the option of having a bodge done vs you sharing the cost vs a neighbour dispute......
