I can't think of anyone better than Bojo, to politely ask the country to go in to lock down. The communication style, getting people on board with the why. Yes I think he over does the Churchill style approach too much and yes, he Can be blithering at times. But if you compare his messages to those of Macron, totally different.

Let's hope that is the case. Sad it has taken his illness to open up his eyes but sometimes thats the way things work - a quirk of fate.

Boris is actually heroic. Can you imagine the pressure he is under? AND THEN he gets struck down with this most feared and unknown of illnesses.

There have apparently been many anti-Boris messages spread in "tweets" and the like. Such things demonstrate that the left is really the nasty side of politics. No truly conservative person would wish anybody ill. When Tony Blair was in office, as much as I hated his policies, I always wanted him to take a break; he looked so worn-out, and he visibly aged so much when in office.

Perhaps macron was overly keen on an early lockdown to get those pesky 'Gillet Jaunes' off the streets. I'll wager their ban of gatherings of over 100 will continue long after coronavirus.
