Been over the allotment this morning. Again. Planted some more spuds, replaced a few border boards, did some digging, sieving, digging, sieving, digging, sieving......Had enough. Came home, had my lunch and will search up what I can watch on telly this afternoon. Either that or a little snooze. Perhaps both. Spoiled for choice.

Hmm maybe, my money's on them having a conveinent stroll about on a deserted sunny beach.

I had a neighbour, who's doggy I see and have a fuss with most days, come and find me just to give me some eggs. She knew I couldn't get them and when she saw them, she thought of me. How lovely! The little things can make my day now

I am pleasantly surprised to hear on the radio more and more stories about how people are looking out for their nearest neighbours and making sure they are not without.
We have gone from "Don't know my neighbour" to "Good morning, Doris, do you need anything today?"

I've made a point of contacting some of my older customers, and neighbours. Letting them know they can call.
I had a lady in her 90s call the other day. She's not a well lady by the sounds, I don't know much about her but she's not enjoying this. Not local to me but I've said if she needs anything to let me know. She had a delivery that didn't turn up yesterday so I'll call her today to remind her that I'll do a shop for her.
We had an elderly neighbour who gave us a bag of unshelled Brazil nuts every week. She said her son gave her a bag each week and she didn’t like Brazil nuts. It was years before we found out that he was giving her a bag of chocolate covered Brazil nuts.........I had a neighbour, who's doggy I see and have a fuss with most days, come and find me just to give me some eggs. She knew I couldn't get them and when she saw them, she thought of me. How lovely! The little things can make my day now

Earned it having dealt with the numpties in society
Just got back from out daily dog walk. Did just under 4 miles. Stopped off on the way back to check on the progress of the restoration of our local windmill. The bottom bit is done. It’s taking forever to finish but it’s getting there although like everything else it’s come to a grinding halt as of late. I think they’ve 'only' got to put the top on and get some new sails made. 'Only' is not going to be cheap or quick though!
Edit: I’m on the injured list! Being bored, I thought I’d have a bloody good look for my Fire TV remote. It disappeared about three weeks ago and I’ve just been using the app on my phone to control it. It definitely has not left the lounge and I’ve had several half-hearted look for it. Anyway we’ve got electric recliners on our sofa and I’ve looked underneath several times with no luck. Today I fully reclined both sections and had a thorough search underneath and up inside with a torch and I saw it resting on top of one of the motors right at the back. I reached under, just about got my fingers to it and the muscle on my neck went into spasm and cramped up. It didn’t half bloody hurt and it’s still hurting me now from the top of my shoulder to the bottom of my ear! Women just don’t understand what we men have to go through in order to lay on the sofa watching telly.

Today, more digging, sieving, digging, sieving over the allotment. Went home for lunch with the intention of going back tonight to do some watering. Popped a frozen roast from last week round to my mum and assembled a bird feeder/watering station/solar lamp (!) that she had ordered. Unfortunately I had a couple of rather large G&T's while making my roast dinner and a couple of large Sauvignon Blanc's with my dinner so too ****ed to drive and too far to walk or cycle on a full belly so I’m going to chill a bit and perhaps take the dog out over the fields later if I don’t fall asleep.
