blimey plod even had a policy of stopping drivers and then getting children to tell the driver off

same type of thing happened in Maos China , were adults were lectured by school kids about being a bad communist :LOL:


the joke of it was that the kids parents were probably guilty of speeding :LOL:

I do not speed.And I do not realise why motorists are flashing until they have passed anyway

Present tence..I do not speed...Past tence,yes I have been done for speeding,fined, attended the course....argued my arße off that it was ok in certain circumstances and learned it was never a good idea. Lesson well learned in life.

You onabout the motive of the motorist warning me now...We were debating the r/ship between camera copper and fine before.

Not entirely correct. Death and serious injury in relationship to speed. They have some real loo loos in Germany and about 50% more deaths than the UK with a larger population.

Death and crashes - highly likely at 40mph into a stop dead solid object or a couple of 1 tonne cars head on each at 20mph.

One problem with a speed limit is have one for many years and people get used to it making it hard to change. At one point they were wondering about changes to 90 and 80mph. Went down to 80 because of concerns about peoples driving at 70 - eg inability to judge speed distance even at that speed and lack of attention when driving.

Maybe that is to do with higher limits on auto-bahns...I refer you back to my statement...You dispute it then produce a statement supporting it.

I have. I only found out a couple of years ago that vans are subject to 10mph less than the displayed speed limit on certain roads. This in itself seems ridiculous, white van drivers are the safest drivers on the roads, should be exempt from speed limits if anything.
