UK Brexit negotiators are standing their ground so a desperate Barnier has responded to the UK remainers in offering a 2 year extension (subject to a financial contribution obviously).

The EU have more important things to deal with than Brexit. Which is true for us as well. An extension would be utterly sensible to try to avoid even more shocks to the economic system of both the UK and the EU.
