the Withdrawal agreement has been done and dusted, leaving without agreeing a trade deal makes no difference, the WA still stands

the UK is totally unprepared for transition at the end of the year, it is nowhere near ready with IT infrastructure for haulage and customs declarations, so how do you think those will get done, on a scrap of paper?

this is a government that cant order some PPE and get test and trace working, how on earth are they going to cope with the 200 million customs declarations needed per year

Thats a different argument. If you intend to leave there appeared to be two good options: (1 & 3)

1. get on with it, face the impact and evolve
2. Dither about, delaying and extending spending money but ultimately heading for 1
3. do a deal but this would never be easy with one side striving to improve the position (Brexit bonus) and the other side striving to make it worse (no cherry picking being out can't be as good as being in).

I hope we get a deal, I think we will. But if we end up with 1, we probably should have gone directly there to start..

I'm not arguing that the WA can be broken without consequence it absolutely cannot, unless bojo can argue bad faith. Who knows. Lawyers are not immune from politics. His and anyone else.

Both parties are subject to the committee decisions on how to interpret and operate the NI Protocol.
In the event of a lack of agreement, it goes to the ECJ, both parties agreed to this in the WA.
If it goes to ECJ, and the ECJ rules against UK, but UK chooses to ignore the ECJ Ruling, it will be a further breach of international law.
