What are you having for breakfast?

Veggie option today. Poor quality picture though - I was trembling with both hunger and excitement.

I normally bake my own white bread but got lazy. Oh, and if I have toast, I must have my toast......cold!
I like toast cooked till crispy then cold with butter and maybe another topping.
My favourite toast is the multiseed stuff...the purple Hovis is very good.

Edited: damn auto correct on smart phones....

Same here, seeded bread, toasted till crisp, then left to cool. A couple of slices (can't spread it) of butter, and then, just to upset the heathen's , a good slathering of Marmite XO.

I have to get my toaster up to heat before I pop my bread in. That’s how I get it crispy on the outside and soft and fresh on the inside - after cooling. Mrs Mottie however, pops the bread into a cold toaster then switches it on. Result - toast that is dried right through. No, no, no!

Breakfast?

I only eat them if they are included in the cost of a hotel room. Up at 6am this morning. Had a cup of tea at home, customer made me another cup at 9am. It is now 14.00 hours and I am in the pub having a pint. I will probably eat about 7PM

Poached, free-range eggs on hand -crafted sourdough toast with British asparagus spears and it’s not even the weekend. :)

Mottie seems to do a lot of 'poaching'...

Eggs, taxpayers money etc...

But I have to say I've welcomed the start of the (albeit short lived) UK asparagus season.
Refuse to buy the long distance Peruvian version that is available all year round...

Also didn't enjoy as much the white asparagus that our gallic friends grow (when enjoying past freedom of movement/employment over there), but shall be testing out the following for brunch for the first time later...

Same again today but for a slight change, I flash fried the asparagus and added a fried tomato. Mmmm, mmm, mmmm. :)

So there's a smidgeon of Northern Lad in you, then Motters? :sneaky:

Black Pudding......

Christ, after that fried breakfast this morning, I had to divert off to the toilets on my morning dog walk to, err, unload it. I guess I just can’t handle fried stuff that well these days!
