how can companies qute above the price cap ? I have a friend who is being quoted 11.5 for gas and 37 for electric from next week, can they ignore the price cap?
Can they ignore the price cap when quoting - I suppose they can, but I don't see how they can ignore the cap when it comes to the actual charge/bill.
I understand that the cap only applies to variable tariffs, that it doesn't apply to a fixed one.
