There must be millions in this country thinking, "For crying out loud, why can't we at the very least, let Ukranian people here take their families in, NOW?".

Who wasn't impressed by the response of some of the German folk on TV? One in particular I remember who in response to "Family of 6?" shot her hand up with a smile. Some hold boards - "Space for 3 for as long as you want".

We have friends with young families in Germany, Poland and France who have arranged to take twos and threes, and 2 couples we know in Belgium have applied.
We have a spare place as it happens. It's complicated because they wouldn't be "house guests" but it's there and foregoing rent for a couple of years is peanuts to what these people have lost.

It's a shameful reflection of the lack of integrity and incompetence of HMG.

Sadiq Khan claims London has its doors open to Ukraine... Lovely gesture and right too. But he then let's London bouroughs offload their overspill onto poorer Council towns by permitted development.

If you have a plan and room Sadiq..... that's great. Don't make out your an angel then play musical chairs

Oh come on Notch! We've all seen people genuinely fleeing for their life with little more than the clothes on their back. Do you think if they were airlifted to Italy, they'd then make their way across France and risk their lives crossing the channel in a dinghy?

Notch is a fake. He made out he was always a Tory voter who voted Brexit... A person who can change his opinion or mind should be treated with respect and admiration.

We have been slow and we need to do more. BUT it would help if the left leaning crustys stop encouraging/protecting economic migrants and the deportation of foreign criminals and fake asylum seekers....

Before this Crisis how many asylum seekers have Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania taken. They also voted to control their borders...

News report tonight states that Poland had taken by far the largest percentage - in numbers over 1 million! We have issued 50 visas to date...

That says it all - and the rest of Europe is well aware of what is happening here

A fella last night called LBC. He said that he would give a Ukrainian family a room, but doubted they would want to stay with him because he was Black... He went on to say his opinion of Priti Patel had changed and now likes her as she and the government where consistent.
