NHS woes

All seems a thing of the past to me .

As the human race still exists, and so do viral colds, logic would dictate that the 'rona would go the same way.

The unknowns were mortality rate, and how long until the' rona became an endemic "cold".

If it was an endemic cold then why all the boosters

But it was not as virulent as those opportunistic people/companies claimed...
it certainly was

Or maybe my belief in the immune system has been proved correct?
belief, doesnt have any influence on immune system

And yet I know of no-one who died of the 'virus'...
I expect you do, most people do. cognitive bias is ensuring you only remember what you choose

But since given our personal response to the 'virus' (jabbed or not) we should have succumbed in some form or another.
why?

nobody ever suggested covid had a hospitalisation rate of 100%

I had my fifth covid jab on Monday (along with the flu jab) based on the other four covid jabs keeping me alive and out of hospital. Keep 'em coming, I say. (y)
I believe its only 65+ and the clinically vulnerable.

if they offered it to me Id have it

I will probably pay for a flu vaccine

So all you moaning about the lack of funds for the NHS - how much more tax or NI are you willing to pay ?

We pay enough tax and ni as it is

I disagree with you. The demographics of the UK have changed over the recent decades meaning much higher welfare costs for the elderly and pensions. We are all going to be old ….

We all need to pay a little bit more

It’s not as if most people wouldn’t notice 1% or 2% extra NI and this levy needs to be paid by well off pensioners too, and the economically inactive

UK cost of healthcare is lower than Germany, France, Italy

which explains why they have way more beds, nurses, doctors, consultants per capita.

Yes, insurance based and not free at point of delivery. Thought you were against privatisation?

Not much in foreign aid by comparison?

Sure. We all need more. But we aren't productive enough.
We need growth, simple. Export more.

We could train foreign nursess like we have foreign students in universities. We could have a lot more. Their fees are effectively exports.

The NHS are awash with money
it gets siphoned off into private healthcare contracts: PFIs, consultants, recruitment, etc etc etc

Major, Blair, Cameron, May, Johnson, Sunak …..it’s been happening under all their watches
