No I worked and paid for my own.

The Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy offers relocation to people who served alongside the UK armed forces in Afghanistan and provided important support to Her Majesty’s Government defence and security mission there and who are assessed to be at risk of serious human rights violations and persecution as a result of such work.

These people deserve a medal and every bit of help possible for helping the armed forces in an extremely dangerous situation...

I don't know the current schemes, but there is usually training and education to help integrate leavers into the world outside.

I’m not making a political point here, but I really wish British veterans got the support they deserve

Some of these veterans with PTSD suffer for years before getting treatment.

I had a customer who was a veteran in 1st Gulf war, at the start of the 2nd Gulf war, he went to work as normal, parked by woods and hung himself…..the wife rang me the following day and told me. That was a difficult conversation.

They'll give you lessons themselves. A lot of the time they'll do your HGV license as well. It's very common.
