I see a bloke like that outside Tower Hill station everytime I’m working over West London and I’ve been doing that for at least 4 years. Others tell me he's been there at least 15 years. I’m not making a political point here, but I really wish British veterans got the support they deserve

Some of these veterans with PTSD suffer for years before getting treatment.

I had a customer who was a veteran in 1st Gulf war, at the start of the 2nd Gulf war, he went to work as normal, parked by woods and hung himself…..the wife rang me the following day and told me. That was a difficult conversation.

Very few people give a damn about our veterans. I have a customer who served in 2 gulf wars. He is almost blind with limited hearing and has severe ptsd. While others are enjoying their very loud fireworks he is cured up in fear while his wife tries to calm him. There was a forces eye hospital somewhere near you that he used to attend. The tories put a stop to that.

Thats the implication of fillys post, that if we cant look after our own, dont look after anyone else. The afgan guys particularly helped special forces who are disgusted by their treatment. Personally I don't give money to homeless people who are well dressed with clean hair and a cardboard sign, it’s a bit suspicious.

It does matter that more white people are homeless than from other ethnic groups, but homelessness itself is the issue when considering immediate support and assistance. A few quid from passers by is only going towards the next hit or can of special brew.

"others tell me" means its a story you are telling now it may be a genuine belief but without actual facts all you have is an opinion that can be between 100% correct down to 0% accurate as it may be some illusions to all illusions no one knows without all the facts
