They've been saying this for as long as I can remember, at least since the 70s.
The sea level has not moved since, not one single millimetre.
I go every summer to the same beaches and I can spot the same rocks near the water that have been there 5 decades.
My friends in California and Florida experienced exactly the same thing.
But of course this observation is wrong.
We must trust the science telling us that sea level increased by 3 meters or thereabouts.

It has risen about 8" in 150 years, so about 2 and a half in 50 years. And you expect to see mountains disappear?

Hazard a guess as to how many inches the sea level has risen over the last 20,000yrs.
We weren't burning fossil fuels for 99% of that time, BTW.
