Climate Change

You're such a dieselist, narrow minded, bigoted, moron boyo

That made me LOL.

I know modern diesels are extremely powerful and fast.

They are just different driving experiences and it is more of a subjective thing. I did a quick Google to see what came up. This sounds fair to me:

Petrol cars typically offer a smoother, more refined driving experience with a quicker response to throttle inputs and a tendency to rev higher, while diesel cars generally provide more torque for a relaxed, effortless drive, particularly when towing or carrying heavy loads. Modern turbocharged petrol engines are evolving to offer better low-down power, and modern diesels are becoming quieter and smoother, but the fundamental differences in driving style and engine characteristics remain.

Or this blather....

It is all subjective. All it means is that I greatly prefer:

a smoother, more refined driving experience with a quicker response to throttle inputs and a tendency to rev higher

over

more torque for a relaxed, effortless drive

Neither is objectively better. We are all different and perceive all sorts of experiences differently. And some people will have stronger preferences than others. I don't really like jazz, but I love classical music. Others are the opposite.

Here's how people are being conned for you --- google the hottest recorded temp in the UK -- what does it say -- Coningsby- right, Coningsby this Coningsby that but what they fail to mention is exactly where in Coningsby.
Its RAF Coningsby home to two frontline, combat-ready squadrons and is the training station for Typhoon pilots. Not saying its heat from engines before the professional debunkers start, but the acres of tarmac and concrete absorbing heat causing temperatures to build up, heat islands.
Take a look it says Coningsby but they miss out the RAF bit its stuff like that I am refering to when i say its a big con, that feels like a scam.
You want more-- how about used wind turbine blades being buried because its hard to recycle them - think about that when you are paying extra for eco electricity - feel conned yet ?

Poor Aveatry, still desperately pushing his anti climate change propaganda.

I wonder who turbine blades compare to environmental danage by fossil fuels.

I expect you will be posting claims about turbines killing birds

This is all very surprising as I didn't have the impression that you even had a car, nevermind a nice sporty one.
I thought at best you would have a little kia picanto or similar for popping to the shops once a week and hospital appointments :ROFLMAO:
What do you drive, for fun?

You want more evidence of gaslighting people how about this one

this type of nonsense if everywhere now, thake these roadside thermometers, they always used to flash red when it was over 30°c but now anything above 20°c and they are giving it as a warning of extreme heat

This is a climate change thread, as for pushing stuff - you mean like your constant anti trump and anti farage in every single thread you can find to shoehorn it into. And everything I have said is and true.

Yes, it really is from the BBC!

Do you mean these aren't the actual colours they use on TV?
I wasn’t laughing because I did not believe it was from the BBC I was laughing because it is from the BBC - one of the worst climate alarmist organisations there is.

I knew that. But I think you might have missed my point. You originally posted a BBC weather map, on which you thought the colours were alarmist, because they were too dark. And so I posted the actual colours that the BBC use on their weather maps. My point was, maybe the map you posted had been photo shopped in some way, to make a conspiracy theory type point, and wasn't actually using the same colours as the ones the BBC use on their TV weather forecasts.

EDIT:

I have now tracked down an article which makes it clear that the map you posted actually has been manipulated. Obviously, not by you, and presumably you didn't know.

Viral post on social media with faked image claims new Met Office graphics are designed to cause fear

Aidan McGivern told The Independent the post was "incredibly frustrating", and said the image on the right, supposedly of a recent forecast, was doctored.
