It took the planet about 60 million years to store atmospheric carbon in trees (or tree like plants), before ecology evolved to reduce tree coverage. But that trapping of co2 resulted in the atmosphere we enjoy today. But did the last 200 years, we've been burning the co2 traps. The atmosphere has been affected. We can take measurements - you can literally see the change. Unless you're head is stuck up your arse.

It's Scudo with 2.0 Jtd/HDi, 2004. Have had the sills repaired, but not much rust anywhere else. Must be galvanised or dipped, because never had such an old vehicle with tidy bodywork and no rust scabs. Had 10 year old cars much worse. Yes, secret is regular oil and filter changes, do mine every 4 or 5,000 miles. Quality oil and Mann or Mahle filters.

1) results from ice cores is not proven to be correct and anyway the time period indicates an event that happened.
2) it's comparing regional temp changes with global temp changes
