Surely you remember the days before "global warming", when we paid no tax?

They had equally suspect and ridiculous scams to rinse people. Just as spurious as taxing people for a 'climate emergency'.

Eg. surely you remember the window tax?

Governments always raise tax.

By how much has your tax gone up overall then, after factoring in the tax you've not paid on energy and fuel (through better insulation, better fuel economy etc)?

I think I can see what's happened here. It seems to be a semantic dispute about your use of the word "extra" in this context. I think some people interpreted it to mean a new additional climate levy, on top of the existing climate levy.
