I have never bothered watching any of them before, but there is some suprisingly watchable things on it. The curling in particular was a surprise, the snowboarding looked exciting and would suit me as I look fantastic and can imagine myself doing that. Really pleased I started watching it now.

Cool runnings and Eddie the eagle, 2 great films from Calgary 1988,

I love the winter Olympics.

Cool runnings

Fun Fact:

IRL the Jamaican 4-man bobsleigh team have been disqualified from competing in the second-tier North American Cup circuit.

Because they've risen too high in the world rankings.

And you can ski the same runs they do. We did a few competitive runs today in Solden. My lad got up to 77mph on a black run today.
Some of the nicest black runs you’ll see. And Some really big wide blue runs so great for the beginners in our group.

I made the mistake of going down a black run once. Went up to the top, took one look at it and thought 'fúck that!', went to go back down but I didn’t have enough lift pass tokens so gave it a go. It was so steep, I couldn’t turn in time (without taking off downhill) as I traversed down so it was a case of go across, drop on my arse, flip my skis round, stand up, go across, drop on my arse, rinse and repeat. When I did eventually get down, my legs were like jelly.

Can I politely request you don't take up any of these events. If you do, within weeks if not sooner you will be world class. This would then mean you entering the next Winter Olympics and most likely winning gold for every event you enter.

This isn't really fair to those who have dedicated years to become the best, so maybe leave them be to strive for medals?

That is so true, I once went to a go cart track where I was mistaken for a formula one driver, they wouldnt let me enter any amateur events and called me a cheat. I was mortified as i had never before stepped into a go cart or a formula one car in my life. Snow boarding would probably be no different.
