Indentured White Servants Were Treated Worse than Black Slaves in the West Indies

It's their descendants who continue to suffer from the discrimination invented to justify the slave trade.
It's the ex-slave owners who continue to benefit from the wealth accrued by those slave owners.

The trans-Sahara slave trade was separate to the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
Your argument is fallacious.
It's like arguing that American Indians sacrificed children, so why shouldn't the British.

Let's throw the Irish into the fray - A good horse from Byzantium could be worth up to twenty cumal (female) slaves.
Perhaps @Vinty would like to pop in to apologise for his ancestors heinous trade?

She was a Ugandan judge who also worked for the UN.

And your blatant racism is of benefit to society?
They like to think of it as Nationalism, these days.

The main takeaway of this thread seems to be that the colonial elements of the British Empire in the Carribbean were utter *******s in all respects and that even if we aren't obligated to be ashamed of them we absolutely can't be proud of them or their contribution.

Maybe, but another angle is that, in net terms, the world developed more as a whole thanks to the exploitation of the natural resources and the resultant, broader economic and technological development.

It has all contributed to the world we all now live in and benefit from. This obvious consideration seems to have escaped your consideration. Also, the slaves taken to the Americas may well have been better off than if they'd stayed in Africa or Arabia. Certainly their decendents have ended up better off, in basic economic, health and other terms.

The efforts and suffering of those who existed before us, in all their many forms, from primitive peoples, to renaissance geniuses, to those hanged for taking a loaf, to African and other slaves, industrial wage slaves, indentured labourers, aristocrats, and so on... were not for nothing. Despite your very modern and over privileged, phony outrage.

That's a bold theory, that by taking slaves rather than employing people the world was better off.

They were employed. They were productive. Production is what creates wealth. I haven't expressed any view as to the relative merits of how people might be employed. Just offering an alternative perspective to your over privileged, whiny virtue signalling.
Slaves were 'employed'?

I don't know what you're trying to signal but it stinks.

and the proof is in the pudding, only the wealthy could afford slaves. It is not really any different now by importing cheap labour from other countries to do work we dont want to do for low wages. Now they are going home our fruit farmers etc are crying about it.

P&O ferries sacked all the staff on the North sea ferries when they docked in Hull, the police were called in and frog marched all of the British staff off the ferry, they were swiftly replaced by filipino workers on below the national minimum wage, most of them couldnt speak english or had any sea going experience. This is modern day slavery yet none of the lefty loonies care about that.

I thought it was awful.

I can't work out what this means

It was disgraceful, but they got away with it, when I was in my suite on my cruise I was talking to our personal cabin staff that was at our beck and call day and night, I felt sorry for them as they earned peanuts and had to stay on the ship for 6 to 9 months at a time without being allowed home.

Each morning I would offer them coffee on our private deck and told them to take it easy, They enjoyed their stay with us as we treat them well and gave them large tips and because of this they would do anything for us, I used to get hot chocolates made by them at 3am when I got back from the bars. A lot of people treat them badly and it was always the toffee nosed twerps who didnt respect them.
