Holy Smoke

substances that cause damage to health, and lead to increased crime

A question is "should they be legally regulated and controlled, or should they be left in the hands of organised crime?"

Your reply is "yes"
Ridiculous question. The obvious scenario is to take action to enforce the law. Not to suggest, since we can’t stop it we may as well legalise it.

Ridiculous answer. The law is capable of recognising that some substances can be harmful and their supply should be regulated.

You seem to have a naive and delusional opinion that legalising weed will reduce organised crime. All that will happen is the criminals will pivot and more people will melt their brains.

Pivot? to what? you still haven't explained any further what you imagine they'd do.

A regulated business would enable users to control their supply and consumption accordingly. Some people have an ability to conduct themselves responsibly without succumbing to addictive behaviour; just as most drinkers do not become alcoholics.

Why should we regulate something that is illegal? It is illegal so it doesn't need regulating or decriminalised. There is no advantage to the general population to do this.

That is not relevant.
It is relevent in respect that recreational drugs are illegal and you would like to see them legalised, for which you have never said why other than make up some story over cutting out the criminals. That is no reason to decriminilise something that is illegal.

Tell me more about why nothing illegal should ever be made legal.
Well there are some crazy laws regards outdated for todays society and times, that is a different story, please stay on topic with this thread and legalising recreational drug sales and users.
