On what do base this article of faith? I have actually seen the Ferrolli Modena in action. Very quiet indeed and that impressed me. Quiet appliances tend to be quality appliances. Having only 4 moving parts also impressed me, as does the Intergas with only 4 moving parts. But the Ferrolli does have advantages over the Intergas, with a higher flowrate being one of them. The choice is a valued decision by anyone reading this thread and seeing the pros and cons. A view like, "it is crap" without any justification of that view does not stand. I would go for the Intergas, but I would not complain at fitting a Ferrolli in my place.
It is strange that many are shouting the virtues of Vokera boilers on this thread when this makers is not too dissimilar to Ferrolli in product quality. Dan writes that Vokera and Viessman are about the same quality. Some have wrote that the boiler does not matter only the installation.

I am not in the market for fitting a boiler in my place.
Having seen a Modena in action and the case off, which I am sure you have not, it is of the same quality as a Vaillant, which tends to be the benchmark of quality. Look at the video on this thread. The few third party components in the unit are quality brands. Honeywell pcb and gas valve and a Wilo pump. The heat exchanger is stainless steel. What I am saying is that the Ferrolli as a `product`, is a worthy competitor to the Intergas. It is not "crap". The service backup is another matter. And, reading comments about the Intergas service it can't be too dissimilar to Ferrolli. They got too big too quickly in the UK.

Very close, only few letters difference.
I have known Grundfos pumps to go tits up after a month or two as well. Wilo is not a no-name make. Most combis have them in and they last and last. They are as good as Grundfos...as long as the system stays clean. A filter on the return helps here.
A good point about the Ferroli is that it takes a standard cheap Wilo pump head available from anywhere. No specialist exorbitant exchange pump that some makers have.
