I like self-scan, as it means I don't need to socially engage with humans. Plus I won't have their stinky manky hands all over my food.

Likely, the packaging will have been handled by numerous hands, before arriving on the shelf anyway. A few germs will not kill you, no way to absolutely avoid them, and minor contact helps built up your resistance.

I differ from IW in a number of areas.

One of them it now seems is the practice of licking the outside of food packaging.
