A moral question...

To return to the thread topic…..

I believe people should have the freedom to choose what to do with their bodies.

That to me is a line in the sand….which we cross at our peril.

however a pandemic brings a moral imperative….ending it means collective action that includes vaccinations.

The dilemma is the unvaccinated only have choice because they are a small minority - if they were the majority and the UK had suffered a massive Delta wave…..maybe vaccines would’ve had to be mandated.

A moral question ??

should pregnant woman be allowed to smoke

Drink booze / get boozed up

or take part in any potentially risky ?? Pursuit ??

They should be discouraged. Nor should they drink to excess or eat till they have a heart attack or indeed do anything that should kill themselves before their child is born. Smokers should not willingly harm others with their fag smoke either, no.

Prevention of death is often good.

In principle I think euthanasia should be legal in the UK

providing its policed correctly ????
You are having a laugh.
Abortion was legalised on the the grounds that it would be heavily policed.
Only in extreme circumstances would it be permitted was the mantra, fast forward to today, unborn children can be destroyed up to full term.
Sex selective abortions are routine among immigrant communities, minor disabilities like hare lip allows the destruction of a human being.
If you ever wonder why Britain is going down the drain, you need to reflect on why these practices were once illegal, it follows that that this culture of death should not be extended those in society who are considered a burden.

you are sounding like an American crazy pro lifer

there is no "culture of death" you are being melodramatic

If ellal doesn't want to be vaccinated it's his choice, nothing more need be said, he shouldn't have to argue for or against what is his own personal choice.
Completely agree. The idea of forcing people to be vaccinated is nuts, and won't happen. If you want it, have it; if not, don't.
It works both ways though. The anti mob seem to spend a disproportionate amount of time trying to recruit the whole World into their conspiracy theories.

I bet loads of the anti mob whine all week about how bad vaccines are then go to the pub on Friday and drink like a fish and smoke like a chimney

Listening to the radio a week or so ago the subject was where all these conspiracy theories come from. Most, apparently, can be traced back to a handful of individuals that have created an industry around it. And then the devoted recruits add their own little theories along with it and before you know it you have a manifesto. The irony is that the anti mob have been trained to accuse non-believers of being sheep. yet these people are being led by the nose, with no valid evidence whatsoever. So who are the sheep?

We used to allow the Lung Cancer trade to advertise, so they could recruit children as longterm addicts, to replace the customers hurried into an early grave.
