What hope is there of any kind of trade deal with The US now that the Democrats have won? After all, when Obama said that if The UK voted for Brexit it would be at the back of the queue for a deal. And who was Obama's running mate at the time?

Plus Biden is an Irish nationalist.

there will be a deal

biden wont last 4 years ;) he will either be removed because he will be un able to carry on as president

or he will snuff it

Obama swung the Brexit vote. So many were offended by him.

Biden supported the UK during the Falklands war and was a fan of Margaret Thatcher so there's no reason why he should blackball a Brexit deal.

He can support his European allies, including, for example, Nato, the EU, Germany, France, Britain and Ireland.

He appears to especially value his Irish roots. He has already made it crystal clear that there will not be an agreement with UK if UK damages Ireland.

There is no reason to suppose he will support the actions of a country that seeks to disadvantage Ireland, nor a country that signs an international agreement and then declares its intention to break it, and to break international law.

Unlike our own Great Leader, he is a mature, intelligent and experienced statesman and will probably not bear much of a grudge against Boris for foolishly insulting Obama and Hilary Clinton. No reason to suppose it will help, though.

I am sure he will get over himself and not forget the US has done far worse.

yes, lets hope he manages to behave better than our Cummings government.

But don't forget what he said.

"Joe Biden has made no secret of his opposition to Boris Johnson's career-defining flagship policy: Brexit."

"US Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has weighed into the controversy over the UK's new Brexit bill, warning it could scuttle a future UK-US trade deal.

The Democrat challenger added to concerns among senior US politicians that changes associated with the Internal Market Bill will undermine the Good Friday Agreement."

"Joe Biden warns UK: No US trade deal if Irish peace deal becomes 'casualty of Brexit'"

Yeah, USA has got so many friends around the world why would it need us (not “the UK” John, us) the country that always backs it up when they need “us”.
Maybe that’s why after Canada Pm, we was the first country he spoke to.

Anyway, Johnny, where have you been, what you been up to today? I missed you

Hands up anyone who thinks it will help.
