NoAlso should I wrap red insulation tape around the block?

Feel rest assured the main fuse switch is always flipped off before I do anything electrical. But I would always advise turning off the power before touching anything first in the list
Thanks for the prompt reply. I am now all set. I will let you guys know how it goes.Yes
No
Yes its possible
Make the small hole a bit bigger, 20mm cutter maybe
Put the 2 blacks to neutral
Put the single black to live (mark this wire red or brown don't lose it or you'll be in a bit of bother)
Put the 3 reds in a separate connector block (not connected to the light)
And put the earths to earth.
Assuming the cover will fit with the connections etc inside the fitting.
And make sure the power is OFF before doing anything.

Yes that's rightCan I just check with you that the blue and brown wire in the photo, is actually part of the existing light bulb holder and will not be used with the new light at all?

You are right I would use a wago I suggested connector blocks as they are cheaper.Am I being hyper critical or are connecter strips now being supplied with crap screws that are all too easy to shear off when tightening for a good trouble-free connection?
Yeah, the site is slow to load this evening and it caught me out tooEdit - duplication. Didn't realise there was another page.
