Venus. Often visible in the dark blue dusk sky and often near the crescent moon. The 'Moon and Sixpence' comes from Venus sitting near or within in the crescent.I don't think its the star of Bethlehem, is it a planet or star?
Its SSE of Bristol, its the distance of outstretched thumb and pinky behind the cresent of the moon...
