This is the problem with Brexit - it' just sold as one big metaphor.

Metaphors don't solve business problems and lower costs or gain sales. Metaphors can win elections but you don't run trade on metaphors.

Trade will always find its own level.

No, I’m not. I’m telling you that just like any divorce it will be an expensive heartbreak but it will be the right decision and worth it in the end. Ask any 10 year divorced person.

I do know some couples who did then got re married a few years later

Unless they carried on as they did before the divorce, I’m assuming one partner realised that they were treating the other unfairly, apologised and came back under a new understanding. Perhaps the bad partner realised they were taking the other for a fool, keeping all the housekeeping money, giving it away to loser friends and making all the house rules?
