Normally pantomime season ends in January...

Not anymore!

MP's effectively vote not to prepare for a no deal...

Linky

And the shipping company with no ships doesn't have a port either...

Linky Linky

It appears that the UK has moved beyond 'laughing stock' to 'basket case' status!

Well done quitters, well done! (y)

If you mean comedy, then there are 650 or so people well versed in that particular art...

You of course are a proponent of duplicity...

I just deal in facts :)

Well in euroland it's already about 18% more costly, and who knows how much more it will cost after 29/03/19...

Then you'll have to add on extra health insurance, visa costs (ETIAS from 2020), green card insurance, international driving licence etc etc...

And of course without financial passporting and mobile agreements, DD/Credit card transactions and roaming charges may go up...

And that's just the start of it!

As for duty free, then apparently there is a new ferry company (without ferries) that will promise you a service, but I guess the Brexit voting areas 'oop north' will go back to buying stuff out of the back of a transit !

Why’s that then? We don’t add most of those on when we go outside Europe now, do we?

Oh well, I hope they enjoy their holidays in Blackpool then.

Shhh.....dont tell Ellal, he is too focused on proving his point, we dont want to upset him......do we?

Don't you?

No wonder quitters don't understand the ramifications!

Oh, but of course people rely on crowd funding when they get into trouble abroad outside the EU nowadays!

But take a hint: look up the definition of 'third country'.

As that will be what the UK is regarded as within the EU when we leave ;)

So.

When the Euro was introduced it doubled in price overnight.

Could be the reason Turkey are building 5star resorts as fast as they can build em.......to cope with all the millions of holiday makers avoiding the dreaded Euro.

You really ought to check out your facts before spouting b ollox...

Tourism in Turkey is way down on it's peak...

And if you haven't noticed it's in effect a dictatorship, and there is the wee problem of a war going on around it's southern border...

But hey, please carry on making a fool of yourself, notchy...

Otherwise I'd miss the daily laughs!

You do like a laugh don't you...

Pound to Euro at launch 1.40

Next day 1.41

A year or so later 1.72

And the pound never below 1.38 until the crash of 2008

Now of course hovering just above 1.10

Whats that got to do with the price of fish......

Compare the buying power of pre Euro currency to the Euro, say for the Drachma.

Oh and how have the southern Euro nations fared? They are over the moon with the Euro :ROFLMAO:
