Just received my new homecare 200 quote has risen from £26.52 to
£32.38,on questioning this with british gas i was informed it is due to price
increases? shall contact them again possibly for a 10% goodwill gesture,

good luck. the price is the price. they claimed in november they couldn't increase the price because they knew it was at the high end of the scale already. guess that has gone out the window.
 
I don't know what the gripe is exactly, but BG is rubbish at billing. I got a gas bill for £10 a quarter. I brought this up with BG and told this is correct. A few years later, I got a bill for thousands, as they said I had the 'wrong type of meter fitted'.

They fitted a prepayment meter that took £10 in 3 days, then said it was wrong.

They fitted a normal meter, and it charged incorrectly again.

They fitted a prepayment meter, that charges £10 a quarter...so still wrong!

people need to realise the gas supply and gas repair sides of the business are completely seperate and don't even share buildings in most cases.

no i doubt it. i guess you must get your gas and electric free from a different company? :LOL:

Why not change your tariff to a online energysmart account and then just pay for what you use.

You can set up a variable direct debit or use a card to just pay for what you have used.

simples ;)
