Not a lot, its like any other other knee jerk political reaction, ban it and increase the fines. America is a good example of how imprisoning more and more people for longer and longer hasn't reduced crime. Its the economic circumstances of people that are more relevant. But Lineker's comments are about the cynical playing to the haters by tory politicians. And he talked about nazi language in the 1930s, the very period where hatred and prejudice was being ramped up. Fair play to his colleagues for standing by him The beeb in their race to appease the government have unwittingly made themselves the story again (and may pay the price eventually), instead of doing the decent thing and standing by their presenter. As i said before calling them out as tnucs is fine i agree, they are, but attempting to challenge for the sake of that political agenda and using such associations of 'the Germans from the 30's' is not only inflamatory unecessarily to the Germans and historical mud slinging to boot.
