Channel migrants face lifetime ban on returning to UK

So, if I've got this right, people who the government have declared are criminals will no longer be "allowed" to attempt to enter the country "illegally".

Farage told us that most people arriving on boats bypass immigration.

What exactly will change, other than more people bypassing immigration?
Agree nothing and as Farage also pointed out most of this has been executed for 'political point scoring' none of this will actually make it past legal approval, a huge costly legal farce so Richy Rich can attempt to score points against Chinless Charmer Starmer.

I'm saddened but not surprised that anyone has given this "new" proposal any consideration. It's the same old empty nonsense.

Just look at the reasons why he has been forced to "step back". Undue pressure from the Government.

Or do you think the top bosses at the BBC (Johnsons friend, involved in a row over a loan) decided that a private tweet over ruled his non political presenting, without any pressure from Braverman and Sunak?

Your welcome to your opinion of course, but to believe there has been no pressure is more than a little naive

I like the BBC

It’s one of the finest broadcasters in the world

Your welcome to your opinion / allegation Afai am concerned it’s nonsense

Not a lot, its like any other other knee jerk political reaction, ban it and increase the fines. America is a good example of how imprisoning more and more people for longer and longer hasn't reduced crime. Its the economic circumstances of people that are more relevant. But Lineker's comments are about the cynical playing to the haters by tory politicians. And he talked about nazi language in the 1930s, the very period where hatred and prejudice was being ramped up. Fair play to his colleagues for standing by him The beeb in their race to appease the government have unwittingly made themselves the story again (and may pay the price eventually), instead of doing the decent thing and standing by their presenter. The daily flail must be moist with delight.

Blup

IMHO, Gary calling them out as tnucs is perfectly balanced.
Do you honestly believe calling it an "immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s".

Do you honestly believe most of the men travelling over here are who they are purported to be?

As i said before calling them out as tnucs is fine i agree, they are, but attempting to challenge for the sake of that political agenda and using such associations of 'the Germans from the 30's' is not only inflamatory unecessarily to the Germans and historical mud slinging to boot.

Fine say i don't like the Tories they shouldn't be in power, be honest about your political motives, don't hide it behind faux outrage

How do you know it's faux outrage?

What bothers you about using real examples to illustrate your dislike of tnucs, rather than just say "I don't like tnucs"?

Faux outrage... i give you Alastair Campbell..

He compared them to the Nazis.
The Germans rightly distanced themselves from the Nazis.
No thats your opinon but when in any country i wouldn't refer to a negative pastime of their history and associate it with current political event for my own polictical gains. Maybe you feel that's ok? I don't. And it doesn't matter who it is i still say it isn't right.
