Christmas cancelled in Essex

Corrected for you...

Boris is indeed playing a game of Chess. However he's damned as well he should be. He's not mixing with anyone outside his political 'bubble', but he still can't understand why he's not thinking of the lonely and those with mental health issues.
Any chance for a dig and you’re right in there. Why don’t you **** off.

Daughter and her boyfriend been working from home since March, we were going to spend Xmas Eve/Xmas day at sons to see grandson open presents and Boxing Day at daughters. Mrs Mottie finished work early to get 10 clear days in before visiting them. All ****ed up now. I don’t blame the Government - they can only react to the situation as it changes. They'd have been in real trouble if they hadn’t changed things. I blame those people who think the rules don’t apply to them. You have to practice some safe procedures, nobody's perfect but we have friends in three camps - one lot absolutely paranoid, one lot being sensible and others not taking a blind bit of notice. Trouble is, there’s bloody millions of others just like those.

Yeah Im really sorry to hear that, what a shock it must be.

Youve clearly both thought very carefully about it and your plans were taking all sensible precautions.

Parents are similarly upset. They were planning to go to Scotland to see my sister. They haven't really seen anyone since March. Dad's 86 and feels he probably hasn't got too many more Christmas's left in him. They're understandably upset, but thems the rules now.

Sorry about anyone who's has their plans banjaxed.

Just seen the news and essex was not on the list.
They said London, South East, and Eastern, which covers Essex.

Both my kids have been home 2 weeks already, missive outbreaks at both primary and secondary schools.

My Dad see ITV said Essex. I'll take we are 4. We had to be tested Thursday. My youngest has been sent home twice but school remained open

It's not the same doing it online. Actually doing xmas online somehow makes it feel worse?

Next easter / xmas 21 - will come soon enough.

Chin up.

I wonder when we are going to see 'tier 5' and what the decree will say?

Pubs (and other "hospitality" establishments) have been closed oop North for most of the year, and yet this bug continues to spread - if you believe the hype that is.

It's not the pubs spreading this disease.
