Is it real or is it made up? How accurate is the data in this area.

It looks like I am first!

I believe that there is a very high degree of probability that man made global warming is happening.

The basic physics was proved by experiment almost two centuries ago.

We know that naturally occurring greenhouse gases keep planets warm. Without them, the earth would be a gigantic ball of ice. So, it is logical that adding more man made greenhouse gases, to the existing natural greenhouse gases, will cause the earth to warm up further.

The data can be difficult, though, because we only have very accurate direct measurements from the last few decades; a century at most. Before that, we have to rely on indirect proxies.

What convinced me was that the temperature rises have happened over a very short period of 150 years or so, as opposed to the Ice Age, where changes happened over tens of thousands of years. So definitely man made. Even Ellon believes in it

Just to put my thoughts on the subject clear. I believe climate change is man made, however as the Ozone layer debate is still contended and being researched due to not only skeptics but down to scientists not being able to agree with each other fully on the subject throws a bigger light into the courts of the skeptics.

Lots of threads locked in the past regarding this subject.
Climate has always changed and we should be concerned if it stopped changing.
There have been periods of very fast change that do not fit with the current narrative, so all evidence get deleted by various mods on most forums.
One thing is 100% sure: whatever "emergency" or "crisis" our "leaders" invent, we are the ones having to pay more tax for it while they get richer.
Nobody can explain how paying more tax would help with the "emergency"/"crisis".
And somehow a lot of people refuse to explain why there's a direct correlation between "crisis" being announced and the people announcing it getting richer because of the "crisis".

you are welcome to mention any historic period of rapid change you like.

“doesn’t fit the current narrative”, is not true.

Yes they can

Maybe you could explain why Reform party, particularly Richard Tice as well GBnews push climate change myths and misinformation.

Perhaps it’s a coincidence that Reform party and GBnews are bankrolled by fossil fuel interests.

There are some basics:

1) CO2 has increased over last 200years coinciding with human industrialisation
2) global temps have increased over that period
3) the change has been very rapid in terms of climate

The question is whether there is any alternative cause for temp increase and whether historical rapid changes can show a possible alternative cause.
