Climate Change

Do you think ****ting in our seas and rivers, depleting our finite resoures, poisoning our air, and killing other life at unprecedented rates is actually making things better for future generations of humans, let alone the rest of the planet?

If you do, you're stupid.

If you don't but intend to continue anyway, I'll stick with my previous assertion that you're a selfish c*nt (y)
how have you come up with that from what I said?

I am utterly appalled at what we are collectively doing as a species to our environment - I have been an 'environmentalist' all of my life (take a look at my avatar) I have been going on about Climate Change since it became obvious back in the late 90's And up until about the last 5 years I genuinely thought we (as a collective society) would wake up and change our ways

However as a realist I am now of the opinion that it is not in our (as a collective society) nature to care about the short term profit of here and now. Just because I recognise it is on its way and it will cause utter havoc does not mean that I don't care, or think its funny.

In 50yrs time the list of catastrophic tipping points regarding the climate that never happened will be even bigger than it is today.
You seem to spend your life looking for smug conspiracy theory comments.

It's a shame as you could spend your time more productively informing your self of facts instead.

That can mean a couple of different things.

Do you believe that man made global warming is happening, but it is nothing to worry about.

Or do you believe it actually isn't happening.

Nothing to worry about
Over blown by those with a vested interest in promoting the caper
Most of whom are bunch of hypocrits imo they talk the talk and pontificate to people. But when it comes down to they do f all of any consequence

Recycling etc been doing that since I was 8 years old

Yep, when I'm not typing comments on here you can guarantee that so long as I'm not asleep, I am looking for things that I can post on here.
You see, you and me do have something in common after all.

You can always rely on a climate change thread to bring about some 'knicker wetting'.

Well done lads.
aye, but do you agree or disagree that it is on its way?
I think it is fair enough comment if someone says they couldn't care less or indeed take my own stance of; 'it's on it's way and there is feck all to be done about it. (sometimes you have to accept defeat)
But those who take the Ostridge approach and go into some weird denial of all the facts - well that's Trump voting territory - LOL - Cuckoo Cuckoo

and YES, I know I was once in the Trump camp - but Jeez, he's turned out to be one utter farkwit, a farkwit on steroids if ever there was.

I agree change is on it's way, I agree the climate is changing, as it's always done. Obviously to change habits is a good thing, like banning cfc's helped with the ozone layer, recycling is good and renewable energy where practical is good, reduced emissions is good, EV's are good.

When it reaches alarmist levels, where Greta Thundberg tells us the world will end shortly after 2030, it's time to question things, as many scientists today are advocating, when 'going green' threatens the cost of living and pushes people into poverty, again, it's time to question things.

The more extremist the climate alarmists become, the greater the kickback will become. Balance and common sense is needed.

Climate alarmist are so batshit crazy that at the same time as saying we should all be driving electric cars they are slashing the tyres of tesla’s electric cars because they dont like the bloke who makes them.

I'll still reserve judgement on that one, Musk has gone full Tonto, but we all knew he was mental and it was always on the cards. American economy is doing OK as as is employment, probably better than the UK. Tariffs are a strange one but I think he might be on the right track. I'll make a judgement in 12 months.

Says a couple of old duffers that wont live to see the consequences. Very noble.
Says a disgusting hypocrite who probably takes more pointless aircraft trips adding more CO2 than anyone else on this forum---yep and all just to slide down a freaking mountain on some planks, your forum avatar is you even boasting about it.
