Climate Change

I think it’s the other way round, the younger generation care ( and understand) far more about climate change than the older generation

Yes the gov and the lefty captured education system have done a great job of mentally abusing primary school kids so much so that climate anxiety has become the number 1 worry for kids - shameful.
And the very people at the forefront of all of this mental abuse have the audacity to put out a piece about it without naming themselves as part of the cause.

It’s called science, doubtless a lot of people were upset when the world stopped being flat.

It is a tricky balance. Growing up should be about having fun. When is the right time to start.

I would be a little less sceptic if all the solutions offered didn’t involve my credit card. If the world is boiling- if its an existential threat to the existence of mankind then government would provide solar and heat pumps and EVs but no our gov wants us to drive an EV but its classed as a luxury so I have to pay almost £2000 in VED over a ICE car. Anyone with half a thinking brain should be saying - err wait a minute  but that's the point of starting the brain washing in primary school - the job is half done by the time the education is finished so they dont have to think about what they are told. The gov can make VAT on all climate protection related stuff zero but no - we can save the world - we just need your credit card number to do it.

A reminder of this conversation and what the two of us are discussing - I am saying that the current earths temperature rise and its alleged speed are not unprecedented in earths history ---- and the ice cores show that.
Densos hundreds of thousands of climate scientist do not want to discuss that because it does not fit in with the current narrative
The rate of change is unprecedented.

The amount of change may not be.

If you are right why do scientists the world over (not just in the UK) not agree with you?

Maybe it would still be happening if people weren't here, as they are we dont know what would have been happening

Do you have a reference ? I can't find one and neither can Chat GBT

Chat GBT come up with these two know rapid changes -

  • After the last Ice Age (~20,000 years ago), global temperatures rose about 5°C over ten thousand years.
  • During the Paleocene–Eocene Thermal Maximum (~56 million years ago), the Earth warmed 5–8°C over about 20,000 years.

but to put that into context with todays change
our temperature is rising at about 0.2°c per decade

that is a lot more rapid than the two above which were more like 0.005°c per decade
so temperature is rising now 40x faster than the most rapid natural rise

I've been looking too and I can't find anything comparable.

Unfortunately he appears to not want to give any links to his claims

All the hot air from the GD won’t help!

It’s all you keyboard warriors fault.

Right so you now seemed to of found the ice core info but if you had read it properly you would of also seen that the rate of change is precedented.

They may care about so called climate change, but they certainly don't understand what it is actually about.
All I see, and hear from them is tropes regurgitated from media headlines.
They are an impressionable bunch.
Lots of adults are too.

What is telling is that this information is not easily found - it is shadow banned and buried because it goes against the current narrative that its never happed before
What you are looking for is the results from the GISP One ice Core drilled from 1979 to 1981
