Climate Change

Saving £1300 in electricity per year ? are you not using any mains power at all in the whole year. I dont think you could be charging a car because you drive a 60 year old diesel van
Just panels, not a van. And I generate more than I use. It saves half my bill and I get £300 for export.

I'll get more panels when I get an EV

So its in your advantage for global warming to get worse then
I don't think global warming guarantees more sunshine, or even warmer weather - at our latitude and maritime based climate, we could become colder and cloudier.

anyway - how old is my van now ?

More cloud cover for us, more variable weather and if the gulf stream moves then we get screwed, we're at the same latitude as Moscow and Calgary.

Not according to the BBC, cold and cloudy is weather and sunshine and warm is global disaster with the world burning accompanied with some man made bush fire footage. But what do you really care driving around in your 80 year old diesel van.

Gulfstream and Jetstream were stable before global warming. They change position and direction when the climate changes.

The Gulfstream keeps Europe, and especially Britain, much milder than its latitude would suggest.

I think even in worst case scenarios the AMOC would not switch off for a century or two. so never in our life times. but it is a fascinating theory to think that we could have a climate similar to Moscow or Alaska with the sea freezing every winter.

Also fascinating to consider (in worst case scenarios) (and 500 to 1000 years time) if the Antarctic all melts cities like London will have to relocate to some where higher, many major cities around the world could be submerged.

Disaster will be long before these two events, it will be the mass migration of people that will cause wars that will change things forever. (unless of course clown trump instigates his own armageddon)

Almost certainly no collapse this century, but it will absolutely weaken.
