take no notice of this baboon

heres whats yea should do

check if there is a cooker chain fitted or bracket
check if there is an isolation valve fitted id a hob
check clearences of cooker to other combustable materials
look at condition of cooker and light up rings, oven
check working pressure
and dont forget to lift cooker lid when doing a drop test.

For a cooker; Leaks, clearances/spacings, ventilation, flame picture and stability/bypass rate, gas rate/pressure, stability, safety devices, doors hinges /seals etc, levelness, ignition, external factors, hose type/condition and bayonet height/orientation. Pipework etc as with any other appliance.

ie much the same list, typed before I wondered if you were a spoof.

thats a service chris

Most landlords and landladies are only interested in having a bit of paper to keep the agent happy.

I have recently done one because the agent refused to pass on the rent until the landlord had one.

Not at all - they're only checks, most of which would be done inside a minute. Which would you not do!
Couple of minutes for a gas rate, and you go off and do something else while the ovens warming so you can check it goes to bypass ok.
