Depression.

No offence intended but there nothing sinister, racist, or intentionally offensive in your post , apart from making fun of the Irish.

I take your point but are the Irish not able to just sometimes laugh at themselves ...... does a bit of lighthearted fun have to become such an issue.
Maybe its just me ...... maybe my generation were not raised on such political correctness.

My "local" is predominantly Irish. I have Irish decent, but am English by birth and heart. We tell Irish jokes in there all the time with no issues, the difference bing when a "dubliner" or whoever tells a joke its about an Englishman.

So for those who are having a hizzy fit over this, shut up.
Talk to the people your trying to defend, or as above shut it.
Too many do gooder liberals about, thats the real issue.

The issue here is whether or not Irish jokes are racist , of course they are.
If you need to excuse your racist nature go ahead, no skin of my nose , you are what you are.
Dont blame ''do gooder liberals'' though for your racism being wrong, thats just pathetic and you should know better than to stoop so low.
Just because you have met a few racist dubliner does not make it OK. You probably cannot see that though.

So the Nigerian in there taking the urine out of the email scammers is racialist?
The Jock, who is always drunk on "scotch" who takes the urine out of the Indian who only drinks Dr Pepper, is out of order?
Not multi racial enough for you?

Take your LIBERAL DO GOODING backside outta here.

A great reply and maybe my generation could be the same as yours.
The Irish have the brilliant ability to mock themselves - then they and other British nationals take the micky out of other Brits. That isn't racism, it's called humour - get over it and get a life. ( not aimed at you Susie ) just the do gooder halfwits on here

The concept of a racist joke doesn't really hold water. What is being mocked is the aspects of an absurd and non-existent stereotype. Anyone who claims that this is in any way "racist" are by definition claiming that certain races/cultures/nationalities/religions etc do indeed have those properties. It is therefore the accuser who is the racist since he/she wishes to think "the worse" about a people, and not the humourist.
