dont understand height of these step ladders

• Platform height of 0.83m
• Safe working height of 2.55m

It makes no sence to me! I mean what height will the top step be? how big will they be when folded up?

I suppose it depends on how safe you feel standing on the platform and how tall you are.

The highest step you can safely stand on is the platform height about 80cm, but the safe working height is not a set height on the ladder, it’s the total average reach height, based on an average height of a human. 170cm

Add this together we get 170cm for average height of human + the height of the top step of about 80cm then the total height average would be the 250cm

If your only 5ft tall, this would mean your “working height” would be 230cm compared to if your 6ft 6” then the “working height” would be 280cm

Hope this helps, it’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
