Flu Jab. Have you had yours yet?

To be fair, I do offer to scrape the frost off the windscreen for her in the colder months before she leaves for work. :p

One of the advantages of living in Cornwall is I've probably only had to scrape ice off the windscreen about 3 or 4 times in 15 years.

Kinell, daily occurrence in the Mid's

Temperature rarely gets to freezing, if it's zero in say Bristol it's likely 5 degrees here. The downside is the warmer climate means a lot more rain. Think we've seen snow about 4 times down here, doesn't last long though, and that normally means a day or two off because of the hills.
Same in the summer, if it's 30 degrees in London it's low to mid 20's here, which suits me.

Appointment already arranged with GP for 15th, they had rearranged it for a week later due to supply issues. To pre-empt the travel to the GP, I popped in the local chemists offering them, to see if they had any last Friday - they were awaiting a delivery, try Monday, tried Monday and still no delivery. I rang yesterday and they had arrived at last, so I asked them to reserve one and I would be there within the hour, could they also reserve one for my partner for Wednesday morning.

We are both now jabbed and I cancelled the GP appointment. On her way to work, after her jab, she received a phone call from the GP, asking if she wanted a pneumonia jab. She explained she had just had the flu one, so they need at least a week delay between jabs.

Mrs Mottie was due to have her flu and Covid booster yesterday. She went out with friends on Saturday and one of them had a terrible cold. She cancelled her jabs in case she came down with a cold and didn’t want to have that on top of any possible side effects of the two jabs. Now having her Covid booster on Saturday and will give it a few days before having the flu jab as she can just get that as a walk-in at one of our local pharmacies.
