Flu Jab. Have you had yours yet?

Just went and had mine at a local pharmacy. I paid £15 last year. I was expecting it to be more this year but it was free! Apparently all over 50’s are getting it for free this year. It’s better to have it before the flu season starts but better late than never.

Usually have mine when I go for my check up, but delivery problems have delayed the roll out, got a message to say I can go next week but am on holiday

You should be able to go to any pharmacy. Just gotta find one that has some in stock. The one I went to, Pharmacare in Hornchurch, had a fridge full of them and they were offering a walk-in service. In and out in 5 minutes and that includes filling the form in.

Yawn ... that old "it's not been tested yet" argument is getting a bit old now. Especially when it is scaremongering *******s.

Yep, I've tested it and I'm still alive. Unfortunately I won't be able to let you know if that changes in the longer term so I'm not sure if my testing of it is any help to you.

Had my flu jab almost a month ago at GP's. No charge as I'm over 50 but don't really look it. Had flu several times over the years, then about 7 years ago I had the mother of all flus that laid me flat for about 10 days. Wasn't back to normal for a month. Said I could never go through that again (plus the financial loss of not working), so had the flu jab every year since. Touch MDF, not had flu since.

Second 'Rona jab on Friday.

I booked one (via internet) at Boots a couple of weeks ago, when I got there, they said they had cancelled them all yesterday, by phone, because there was no-one to administer them. They hadn't informed me!
So I went home and looked for another appointment, there was two locally, at different Boots, later that day. So I booked one, when I turned up, they said they had cancelled all appointments yesterday, by phone, because they had no-one to administer them.
How could they cancel an appointment before it was booked, and still be allowing appointments to be booked?

Needless to say I shan't be bothering to try walk-in flu' offers again.

I just booked one at Boots tomorrow, not a very convenient time but otherwise would meant waiting a week or so, perhaps someone cancelled, we'll see if that one gets cancelled.

Booked it with the GP a few weeks ago for 8th Oct, then local Lloyds offered it which I declined, now GP texted today to say due to problems change my 8th to 15th. I have to pop into Lloyds tomorrow or day after, so I may see if they can do it there and then. That's what they did last year, they just gave me one of their surplus 'no shows' and I then cancelled GP jab.

Yes, no issues.

There is a rumour that 9months, 6 days, 5 hours, 43min and 5 sec later that people keel over and die. Time based on the mid time between the separate injections even if both done at the same time to the nearest second by 2 people. Doesn't matter if both in one arm or each in separate arms.

I just started it but results of scientific study will follow shortly. I haven't written it yet. My deed poll hasn't come through. Part name change Peter, Rudolf,Oswold,Fred. Prof should look good and add authenticity.
