pmsl yeah of course 100 odd cases a day resulting in a city of 21 million being locked down is down to vaccines ,
i see the point is lost on you . You say their vaccines are not as effective as successful western ones yet only 100 cases a day but still results in lock downs .
Oh and those successful vaccines you speak of have resulted in london with a population of 9 million having around 360 cases a day so whats that getting on to around 9 /10 times the cases tof the chinese , Yep the chinese have missed a trick there
With good vaccines then COVID is about as dangerous as a very mild case of flu or a really bad cold. It's rarely fatal and you don't need to worry too much.
If you don't have good vaccines then it's still as dangerous as Malaria. In that case eradication is a better option.
I see the point is lost on you. In the absence of good vaccination they use lockdowns.
And as you say, with the help of good vaccination, few cases in UK are severe.
They have their own or so it seems. The zero tolerance was initially stated to be enforced until 80% of their population had been vaccinated. Reports vary one says they are at 87%. There are reports that the elderly aren't happy to be vaccinated but resistance is breaking down as more die.
A rigorous study of their zero policy would very probably show that it has been rather successful economically however they can do it. Why - covid has disappered rather rapidly at times and it still hasn't had an effect on the entire country at the same time.
They have changed now any way. The degree of lockdown varies. The main problem really is the nature of covid. Having already caught it makes very very little difference to chances of catching it again. The only hope really is vaccination reducing the effects. That aspect does seem to be working.
Reports - well this is China so what do you expect. Some doing this and that wont mean all but great things to report.
I found my infection interesting. My wife has to test regularly due to spending one day a week with the elderly. Looks like I caught it off her even before she even noticed any symptoms. Her test showed that first. Mine went positive very shortly after. Then we both had the usual she a day and bit before me.
