Flammable material is used in buildings everywhere. Surely it’s how it’s encased that is important? I wouldn’t hesitate to use celotex under plasterboard.
I would prefer Quinn, having been shown that it doesn't burn.

Do these companies not have to pass independent testing? Companies used to to have a kite mark. Did it have a CE mark?

Im interested to hear you thoughts in how you imagined this. Was it a dream or a hallucination?

It did a lot of work in London. I see the shocking quality of work, walls going up before everything was completed behind those walls.
Inspectors coming to see work I was in charge of, I would be told this and that was not right and would have to be changed. Then no one ever coming back to inspect......

Same. I’ve lost count of the amount of fire collars we would fit to soil pipes passing through floors that would need concreting in position to be able to work. Probably 98% weren’t, just hidden behind soil pipe boxing’s.

We will be chastised over this very sad event for the next 500 years, it will overtake memorial day soon. It was a tragic event but we need to learn and move on.

I think fire /smoke detection or prevention is a valuable asset in any occupied building.

Co detectors are also a good asset

Legal requirement in Scotland for all fossil fuel burning appliances

Gas detection is also a requirement under certain circumstances for commercial buildings and school plant rooms

Not that Impressed with some of em tbh
Not sensitive enough imo

But they tick a box

(natural gas)

You are confusing incompetence with benefitting (financially) - i.e 'gravy train'.

Please explain how you imagine BC are beneficiaries of the Celotex gravy train?

Incidentally - BC are not arbiters of quality. It is not in their remit.

Celotex carried out a fire test on there insulation it had to be aborted due to fire spread

It became dangerous

They carried out a 2nd test and hid certain flame retardent boarding in the test.

This test passed the criteria

Results from. The 1st test were hushed up
