My father's family originally being Welsh, and the family for generations having been tall, fair skinned and fair haired we must be descended from the Britons - so those of you whose forebears haven't been here at least 2 millenia are interlopers and should go back to whichever uncivilised hell hole your ancestors came from. Britain for the Britons (and maybe the Celts and Druids) we say!

Lots of Spanish looking Taff's as well.

The UK got done (over), Brexit is a never ending catastrophuck of lies, broken promises, unworkable treaties and a money losing shambles. The only thing that got done were the pro-Brexit voters. Still nothing positive has come from it and we are 6 years on. A majority of the UK population now view Brexit unfavourably. What a pile of shoite.

Forgive him? He shafted the UK for a brief spell of narcissistic, UK wrecking self-indulgence. The incessant liar needs putting against a wall.
Usual bedwetter rhetoric. It was democratically decided to leave the EU. Wasn’t it ?
So why don’t you accept it and move on ?

The rate of growth of population started increasing in 1979 (Thatcher became PM later in the year), it continued to increase until 2011 (Cameron), since then the rate of growth has been dropping.

Scource- 2nd graph

I can't tell whether you're agreeing or disagreeing, but both those graphs show a steep (the steepest) upward gradient during the Blair years.

Why not be constructive and offer solutions, rather than repeating the same tired mantra that there's nothing to see or discuss here and we should all move along. Or don't you like people who want our MPs and government to be accountable - especially if they have screwed up so badly. Or is Brexit a resounding success which has benefitted the country so greatly?

I have moved on. It's just that Brexit hasn't. It's not only stagnated but is moving the UK backwards.

Are you happy for the UK to back-peddle? I'd rather move on from that sinking ship ta.

A great case of wokeism.

Trying to close down a subject rather than discussing it. But its from the opppsite side this time.

It was democratically decided , but it doesnt mean its benefiting us.

On the contrary, the political system has been openly debunked all over the western world.
Any thoughts why that could be carman?

The turnout at the next election?
The Tories were the last vestige of upholding democracy at the last election re getting Brexit done, winning them a landslide vote.
Then along came the boat people and we discovered they hand their hands tied by European courts. Who in turn have their hands tied by a governing world party hierarchy.
So what's the point in voting?

That answered a totally different question

.......... David Cameron said if Brexit happens the world would go into recession and the could be a World War 3.

He did say it!!

He did say it!!
What he did say, in May 2016, was:
"Mr Cameron said: “Can we be so sure peace and stability on our continent are assured beyond any shadow of doubt? Is that a risk worth taking?"

That was interpreted by Brexit supporters as DC saying Brexit would cause WW3.

Russia had already invaded Crimea in 2014, Russia went on to invade the rest of Ukraine in February 2022
Energy prices are going through the roof and stability is being risked by those energy prices.
