way too many questions. You have my reply. Deal with it,

Dealing with your reply is exactly what I was doing.

For each assertion of yours which prompted either a reply or a question, I responded with a reply or with a question, e.g.

Uncontrolled methods of production for one
Same as illegally produced alcohol.

unless you fancy sticking a needle in your arm and hoping for pot luck, or popping a tablet in your mouth and digesting an unknown substance.
Ever thought about the fact that if the sale of a drug was legal and regulated, production, strength, and formulation could be too?

Just pointing out how mixed up you and your posts are.
By posting an image which no-one can understand what it's supposed to illustrate?

For the record; I’m not Pete.
I know, and knew, but it was a humorous way to show your comment was in the mould of Pete's usual, "had to say something but nothing (of any worth) to say."

You exhausted the depth and breadth of his intellect

They never had that to begin with, they already run the monopoly on recreational drugs
You didn't answer John D's question. You answered the question your weren't asked, but thought you had an answer to.
Except you're so wrong.
Illicit alcohol production in the UK involves unlicensed distilleries and counterfeit operations, costing an estimated £1.2 billion annually in evaded taxes. These criminal enterprises produce, sell, and distribute fake spirits, often replacing ethanol with toxic substances like antifreeze, which can cause blindness, coma, or death. While small-scale homebrewing exists, significant illegal activity is driven by organized gangs in areas like London.
If alcohol prduction and consumption was illegal, the criminal fraternity would have a field day, having free rein to exploit the current legal production and consumption of alcohol as well as the current illicit production and consumption of illegal aclcohol.
Not only would it massively increase the health risk for users, now all users, not just the users of illicit alcohol.
It would seriously affect the health services putting further immense strain on available resources. It would also cause the government a loss of over £12 billion in lost taxes.
There would be no restriction on sales or use, so it would be available to children. The funds collected by criminals would be massively increased (£50 billion) annually, which would be used not only for criminals' lavish lifestyles, (and attracting evermore criminals) but also to fund further criminal enterprises.
Criminal gang violence would probably rocket, putting further strain on the security services.

There is no valid social argument for not legalising recreational drugs, with appropriate caveats and controls.
Society would be healthier, safer and more prosperous if recreational drugs were legalised and controlled, with appropriate caveats and legislation.
