Lets have a look here at how many of your do your own electrical work.

Remember, this is a public forum so people will be able to see what you post.

REMEMBER IF YOUR ARE NOT PART P REGISTERED YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW FACT!!

Is johnward02 your secret lover. or BAS in disguise

What's breaking the Law Fact,

Yet to meet a sparky that could wire one of out systems yet with the exception of the one we employed.

Very mature!

Is Part P a law?

Shall we start a poll in the electrical forum on how many pros there hold G3 certification?

Deary dear.

What about the EcoTechs VapourRub. Can a non RGI sparky wire those up? What about the Atmos Multi?

How many thousands of illegal gas installers ? when gassafe get off their a****s and do something about them I will spend more of my hard earned getting qualified in electrics until then I wont loose any sleep.

How many sparkies do you know that are Gassafe registered to work on gas appliance.

While on the subject how many are G3 registered to wire an unvented cylinder or an oil boiler.

Quite a few, its not that unusual.

Whats unusual about oil fired boiler, they are only freestanding smelly, mainly used in rural areas boilers, whats you r point about them?

You need to be registered.

1) yes the biulding regs are a legal requirement, break them and someone gets hurt you WILL end up in the bug house.

2)Yes please do. Although what this will achieve only you know.

3)What about them.

4)Wheres the electrical tests you were so eager to tell me about over an hour ago???

For the combustion side of it AND the electrical, what is so hard to understand about that please tell me!

is it ok to replace like with like , without being part p or not?

Yes my friend it is, pm me and ill furnish you with all the details.

Im 2391 and 2392 17th edition qualifed.

Therefore I disconnect boiler wiring from fused spur and take old boiler off wall , fit new one on wall and rewire to existing old fused spur, no law broken.

What's the fuss about then ?

You can change like for like.

Or just stick a plug on the end.

As said Not met a spark yet that can wire a boiler and controls without having to be told how.

luckily have a spark who actually does understand heating systems, just got him into heat pumps, hes loving it, dont need him on most jobs as its second nature and im not adding so not breaking any law, ive asked him exactly what i can and cant do and as long as we dont add fused spurs etc and just replace its all above board

So you have to notify the installation of the boiler sweetheart. Nothing in the benchmark about the wires.
